At the 2008 Liverpool International exhibition tourney, former WTA # 1 Martina Hingis defeated 1998 Wimbledon champ Jana Novotna in a “legends” match, 6-3, 6-4. And on Sunday June 15th, Martina defeated Jana at singles again, in a “pro set,” 8-5.
Hingis is one of the best conditioned tennis stars around, which is one of the most important factors of her success. She is a sleek, taut and vibrant little thing, in stark contrast to the massive specimens dominating the tour of late.
